The Melville (LA) Volunteer Fire Department has taken delivery of an all-new HME Redfox commercial pumper. Built on a two-door International 4400 chassis with a MaxxForce 9 330-hp diesel engine and seating for three, this truck combines HME Hydra Technology with a 1,250-gpm Waterous CXVC20 pump. Other features include an APR Plastics 1,200-gallon polypropylene T-tank, left-side full-height compartments, ladder brackets above the right-side half-height compartments, painted roll-up compartment doors, backboard and hard suction hose rear storage compartment, a 7-cubic-foot hosebed, and a PowerArc warning light package.
